Marriage
Wouldn't it be nice if we would only try to live
by these words. I know I don't...but it gives me
hope and motivation to try!

I love Valentine issues of magazines!
Here are a couple of my favorite February issues of magazines that I'll never
toss. I love collecting inspiring ideas and having them at hand when I get creative.Sad that Home Companion by Mary Englebreit is no longer in print. I cherish these
old issues the most.

I love doilies!
I'd love to learn how to make these, someone want to teach me?
Someone with lots of patience and time and can go over and over
it with me, till it gets easy...I can do this, can't I? The balloon idea
is the easy one to do I've seen this on pinterest. You just soak it in
starch and put it on a balloon to dry, then pop the balloon and walla
its done! Easy as pie!!!
Laptops for kids?
All children need a laptop. Not a computer, but a HUMAN laptop. Moms, dads, grammies and grandpas, aunts, uncles - someone to hold them, read to them, teach them.
Yummy looking recipe from Living Without Magazine (Gluten-Free)
Dessert
Gluten-Free Sunflower Puffs
MAKES 24 PUFFS
1 cup raw sunflower seeds or nuts*
¼ cup amaranth flour
¼ cup millet flour
¼ cup brown rice flour
¼ cup potato starch (not potato flour)
½ cup butter, organic palm oil or dairy-free margarine of choice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
2. Measure sunflower seeds and grind to a flour in a clean coffee grinder or spice grinder.
3. In a bowl, combine sunflower-seed flour, other flours and potato starch. Set aside.
4. In another bowl, cream butter, sugars and vanilla and beat a few minutes until fluffy. Add dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
5. Form into a large ball and, one at a time, pinch off enough dough to form 1-inch diameter balls. Arrange on prepared cookie sheet, giving balls room to spread a little.
6. Place in preheated oven on middle rack and bake 25 minutes or until cookies start to brown.
7. Remove cookies from oven and cool slightly. Then roll in confectioners’ sugar, if desired. Alternatively, sprinkle with cocoa or gluten-free powdered chocolate cocoa mix.
Each cookie contains 94 calories, 8g total fat, 2g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 0mg cholesterol, 1mg sodium, 6g carbohydrates, 1g fiber, 2g protein.
*TIP If nuts are tolerated, raw nuts can be substituted for the sunflower seeds. The number of cookies varies depending on how nuts are measured; you want about 1 cup nut “flour” after grinding. If dough does not form into a ball, add a little more oil.Recipe by Madalene Rhyand, director of Living Without’s test kitchen.

I love February
I love February...the valentines, hearts, sunny cold crisp days, the color red, the romance of Valentines Day! Maybe because I was born in this month, maybe because the sun shines brightly on some days in
midwinter, but for some reason I get a burst of energy and a feeling of hope in the air. A time to wear
bright colors...to cheer us up, a time to get to those projects you put off...a time to create something new.
A time to try new things in the dead of the winter...clean out a closet, reorganize your craft room. Yes...
time for creativity, adventure, fun, exercise, romance, candle lit dinners, soft music, and love. Even though
I'm turning the big 6-0, I'm still young at heart!!!! I still have adventure in my heart, love to laugh, be with
family and friends, go out to shop and eat. I still love chocolate! I even feel that I can change, I can turn
the clock a back a little, try to feel younger, and be healthier. Sure it takes work...but I can do it...chop
off a few pounds, eat better, try many holistic things, take my vitamins. I can still move and run and snowshoe, and maybe even skate and ski again. I can jump on my trampoline and get my adrenals moving, and my blood flowing, and my circulation stimulated. These give me hope to keep on for a while yet...and stay positive! I love life...there is so much to do...And I thank God for all my blessings!

Here is another one from Craftinomicon
I once tried this with my various embroidery hoops, but did not
have the right color combos and took it down. I'd like to give it
another try. I love making flowers and hope to get on it soon and
take some pics of my own.
